Great conversation today. The question was "how might we incorporate writing as a tool to ensure student motivation and publication in a long term project?".
The 4th grade students are doing a project called What Floats Your Boat? Eventually they will build a boat that can hold a 4th grader. Great project and I received so many ideas and bits of inspiration.

Learning 2.0 (www.learning20.com), an online conference, starts tomorrow. It is free and there are some great classes and keynotes such as Marc Prensky and Yong Zhao. The sessions will also be recorded for later viewing.
